Upcoming HTC Phones 2014: 4 Things We Know About HTC's 'All New One' Flagship, Could It Stand Against Fierce Android Competition?

Upcoming HTC phones 2014: Since the start of the year, rumors have already been circulating about a number of anticipated Android handsets, most especially Samsung's Galaxy S5 and HTC's new One M8 flagship. But now that the Galaxy S5 is official, we focus on the upcoming launch of the All New One.

However, what would someone expect from the Taiwanese manufacturer for the impending announcement of its newest flagship device? For one, we see that HTC is more inclined on the marketing and promotion aspects of the entire 'All New One' campaign.

Recent leaks have also given us a ton of details about the Android device, but not enough to satisfy our curiosity. So here are 4 things we know about the All New HTC One:

1. Similar Design, Elegant Metallic Finish

HTC is known for manufacturing among the most premium-looking devices in the market, and from what we saw from alleged live images of the All New One, the upcoming device will be the epitome of this trait of the company. In a lengthy hands-on clip a couple of weeks ago, we take a closer look at the brushed metal finish, as well as the slimmer side bezels of the smartphone.

2. Dual UltraPixel Cameras

The 4MP UltraPixel sensor of the HTC One last year was a disappointment. Indeed, it helped the device shoot better images in low light conditions, but overall quality is still inferior compared to the cameras of its competitors such as the Galaxy S4, the iPhone 5, Xperia Z, and most especially, the Lumia 1020's 41MP sensor. This time around, HTC will introduce two UltraPixel sensors, and who knows what they're capable of.

3. Slight Upgrade In Terms Of Specifications

A lot of people asked if the Galaxy S5 was worth buying just because it is the newest model or because it boasts monster specs, and unfortunately, the more likely answer is the former. While the All New HTC One boasts an improved chassis design, its internal specs are similar to its precessor. It boasts a slightly faster Snapdragon 801, quad-core CPU, still 2GB of RAM, and the same display size and resolution.

4. May Be Released On The Same Day As Official Announcement

It's not the usual trend among manufacturers to release a product in the market the same day it has been announced. Well, it looks like HTC is going to break that rule as several reports claim that a number of UK retailers will have stocks of the new high-end device on sale minutes after the official unveiling. In a teaser image of Verizon in the US, it also marks the date March 25 for the arrival of the new device.

So with all these details we know about the All New HTC One, is it still worth all the hype it has been getting?
