2014 Masters Round One Results, Leaderboard: Phil Mickelson Finishes With A 76, Saying 'It Wasn't The Best Day'; Bill Haas One Stroke Lead Over Adam Scott

2014 Masters Round One Results, Leaderboard: Phil Mickleson didn't finish well finishing with a +4, making it his worst Masters start since 1997, where he failed to make the cut.

Bill Haas, however, stood on top after the first round of the 2014 Masters as he leads defending champion Adam Scott on second place along with Bubba Watson and Louis Oosthuizen.

"I know that I can't expect too much," said Haas. "You've just got to go out there and keep playing golf, try to hit that fairway on number one."

2013 Masters winner Adam Scott, on the other hand, could've been in first place if he didn't had that poor shot on the 12th green, according to him.

"I played really well from tee to green, except for a poor shot on 12. I perhaps left a couple out there on the par fives, but it's certainly something to build on," said Scott.

"I think winning here calms you down. It was the calmest start I have ever had. I had a fantastic response from the patrons."

All eyes on Phil Mickleson, as one of the favorites of the crowd, as he finished poorly with a 76, same finish as Ian Poulter and Justin Rose.

"I've got a lot of work to do just to make the cut. So I've got some issues," said Mickelson. "I know it's hard to say that, but I actually played well and I just made a lot of little mental errors."

"It wasn't the best day for me today," he said. "I had some issues . . . I actually played well, I know it's hard to say that. I don't feel like my game was off, I don't feel like I have to go to the range or anything."
