Amazon Kindle Phone Appears In 3 Leaked Images And Showcases Nokia N9-Like Design, Alleged Specs Include Head-Tracking 3D Effect, 5 Front Sensors, 4.7" Display, 2GB RAM

Amazon Kindle phone: Last week, rumors were flying regarding the Amazon Kindle phone release some time in September. If you liked that one, then you will surely love this update.

According to a report by BGR, a trio of leaked images for the purported Android-powered device made the rounds over the Web. And from the looks of it, it could be an actual prototype of the device.

From what we can see in the images, the Amazon phone looks like a Nokia N9, the Finnish manufacturer's first and last device that ran on MeeGo OS. However, we cannot actually tell if it is the phone's design or some phone case is keeping us from seeing the real thing.

What is interesting to point out however is the alleged five front-facing sensors in the device. According to recent reports, one of these sensors, particularly the one situated at the middle, would serve as the front-facing cam for selfies and video calls.

But what about the other four? If you're thinking these will allow you to take five different selfies from five different angles in one go, you're wrong (though that sounds cool as well).

The four other sensors will allegedly help the Amazon smartphone to detect the 3D head movements of the user. We still do not know exactly how this can help people use their phones much easier, but the idea is pretty unique.

Aside from the sensors, other specs include a 4.7-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, 2GB of RAM and Amazon's own version of Android - Fire OS.

In recent reports, the Amazon Kindle phone may be announced in June or July and would hit stores by September. So while the images show a lot of promise, we may see an entirely different-looking device in its unveiling.

We will make sure to keep you posted.
