It's not rare for Korean entertainment companies to have middle schooler-aged trainees, but it is extremely rare for idols to debut that are younger than high school age. But WEF Entertainment just debuted Little Muse, none of whose members are older than middle school.

While the five members are adorable as magic school students in their music video for ''Syubibi Syubappa' ,' the song draws attention to their raw, un-idol-like performance.

 The song itself is about growing up and following dreams, and is an extremely cute idea for a children's song. But the five-member girl group, with synchronized dancing, is obviously an imitation of idol groups.

Although WEF Entertainment doesn't share the member's ages on their website, none of the girls close to the age of the typically debuting idol. But they each get assigned their own title and are introduced much as idol members are in debut videos.

Lovely Sia, Pretty Damin, Cutie Yeeun, Smart Dayoun (with her glasses,) and Angel Minji look adorable, but they also look slightly uncomfortable as they dance and appear nervous as they look towards the camera.

Idols are typically extremely well trained, and essentially perfect, but the girls of Little Muse are cute, and often seem just like the unpolished, young girls that they are. But the fact that they have debuted as an idol group, or as an idol-like children's group, makes these girls seem simply awkward.

Seeing an idol group debut so young leads to questioning the age of how young idols should debut. However, Korea has several famous children actors, and there are variety shows like Dad Where Are You Going and Superman Is Back that have the focus on children. Since young children appear in dramas, movies, and variety shows, it is rational to have children in the music industry, which is one of Korea's most impressive exports.

Little Muse is not the first group to debut so young. GP Basic debuted in 2010, when the oldest member was only fourteen years old and the youngest was 12.
