TVXQ Changmin's 'Mimi' Drama To Release In 30 Japanese Theaters This May

TVXQ Changmin, who played the lead role in the drama, "Mimi," will be releasing in 30 theaters around Japan.

On April 18, local Japan media stated that this drama, which aired in Korea this past February and March for a total of 4 episodes, would be edited and revised to release as a movie in Japan.

The first episode will start playing on May 9th, and the latter half will be playing on the 16th.

This movie also added on the already popular group, TVXQ, as well.

"Mimi" features a lovely and warm first love story that transcends time, with the fates of two people exchanged.

Changmin plays the main role of Minwoo and worked with actress Moon Ga Young for this drama.

TVXQ's fan club, Cassiopeia, recently announced that it will participate in raising funding to help those involved in the recent ferry tragedy.

TVXQ, an acronym for Tong Vfang Xien Qi, is a South Korean pop duo consisting of U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin. They are known as Tohoshinki in Japanese releases, and are sometimes referred to as DBSK, an initialization of their Korean name Dong Bang Shin Ki.

Tree, TVXQ's seventh Japanese studio album, was released on March 5th, 2014. It debuted at number one on the Oricon Albums Chart, moving 225,000 copies on its first week of release. Wtih Tree, TVXQ became the first foreign band in Japan to have three consecutive sutdio albums with first-week sales of over 200,000 copies, breaking Bon Jovi's thirteen-year record.

TVXQ has been one of the most popular and influential K-pop group in Japan. Although K-pop market has been suffering from a recent anti-Korean culture movement in Japan, TVXQ still has been continuing with its success in many countries all over the world including Japan, also featuring in the Billboard magazine in America.
