Crime action movie "A Hard Day"'s Lee Sun Gyun and "The Crying Man"'s Jang Dong Gun demonstrated the power of actors in their forties with their transformation.

Lee Sun Gyun played the role of detective Go Gun Soo, who tries to cover up his mistake in movie "A Hard Day".

Lee Sun Gyun threw aside his romantic guy image to take on a new persona. Lee Sun Gyun completed real-live action scenes, getting hit and bruised to portray a character with the psychological stress of being cornered through a series of events.

In "The Crying Man", projected to release this June in theaters, Jang Dong Gun plays Gon, a killer who faces a dilemma between guilt and mission when he is led to meet his target, Mo Kyung.

As Director Lee Jung Bum's new work, "The Crying Man" captured media attention by casting Jang Dong Gun after the director's huge success with Wonbin in 2010's "Uncle". Jang Dong Gun, who previously held an image of a perfect gentleman, seeks a transformation through his rough veteran charms as killer Gon.

Lee Sun Gyun is an actor who began his career in musica theatre. For many years he was relegated to minor and supporting roles onscreen, only getting to play lead characters in one-act dramas such as KBS Drama City and MBC Best Theater. In one such Best Theater project, he worked with TV director Lee Yoon Jung on "Taereung National Village," which led to him being cast in her later series, "the 1st Shop of Coffee Prince" in 2007. Coffee Prince, along with medical drama "White Tower," brought Lee mainstream popularity, which he followed with "Past" (2010) and "Golden Time" (2012).

Jang Dong Gun is an actor best known for his leading roles in the films "Friend" (2001) and "Taegukgi: The Brotherhood of War" (2004). Jang is one of the highest paid actors and celebrity endorsers in Korea, consistently topping surveys by industry insiders of most bankable stars. He remians one of Korea's most beloved stars, not only for his projects but because of his genetle, kind image.
