Scandal Star Columbus Short Hit With Restraining Order; Columbus Short Scandals Worsen After Arrest for Battery, Divorce Filings

Columbus Short was arrested for battery last week after a bar fight sending the star of the TV series "Scandal" on a rollercoaster ride of his own scandal. Tanee McCall, Columbus Short's wife, wants him far away.

"Scandal" star Columbus Short was hit with restraining order for allegedly threatening to kill estranged wife and himself.

According to reports "Scandal" star Columbus Short was thrown out of his home and his wife filed for divorce after he allegedly put a knife to her throat last week and threatened to kill her and himself.

TMZ reported that Short, who plays Harrison Wright on the ABC drama, held a knife to his wife Tanee McCall's throat on April 7 after coming home drunk.

On April 15, Short's wife filed a restraining order claiming that Short choked her, put a knife to her throat, and threatened to kill her and himself after Short emptied a wine bottle on her. The order says Columbus ran to the kitchen for a knife, pinned his wife to the couch and began choking her. The papers claim that Short demanded they play "Truth or Truth" and that he allegedly said he would stab his wife in the leg if she lied.

According to papers TMZ saw, when McCall tried to escape, Short slashed her tires.

People reported that Columbus Short's wife filed for divorce last Tuesday. People reported that McCall cited irreconcilable differences. She is asking for sole custody of their two-year-old daughter, Ayala

Columbus Short was arrested and charged with a felony after a recent bar brawl. The TV star has a history of violent arrests.

In a statement the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office said Columbus Short was accused of punching a man unconscious at a West Los Angeles restaurant on March 15.

A Los Angeles judge issued a warrant for the Scandal star's arrest after Short allegedly sucker punched a man at Gabe's Bar and Grill in Rancho Park, a local bar.

This isn't the first time Short's temper has gotten him in trouble. A source told HollywoodLife.com the Scandal star has "countless blow-ups" because of his "nasty temper."

Short was arrested for physically attacking his wife in front of his children in February at his Woodland Hills home at around 2 a.m.  Two weeks later, Short was arrested in Chatsworth, Calif. after he and his wife got into a heated argument and he allegedly pushed her, according to the police.  One month later, on March 15, Short was involved in a bar fight at an engagement party. Short allegedly broke a man's nose and knocked unconscious.  But back in 2010, Short was prosecuted for a brutal attack on an L.A.

basketball court when he punched a player.  Short pled no contest to disturbing the peace.  He was sentenced to 3 years' probation.
