As Conor Maynard prepares to release a new single, the "R U Crazy" singer is being compared to a new rising star—Elyar Fox.

According to Capital FM, Conor Maynard is preparing for a new single and album.

"I've been hiding away recording the new album. My new single will be coming very very soon – it should be within the next couple of months. It's a bit different as well which I'm excited about. We should be shooting the video in the next few weeks as well, so you'll definitely be hearing it soon."

Reportedly, Conor Maynard has written a new song with Timbaland.

"Fingers crossed that it will make it on there. Everything is up in the air at the moment as to what will be on the track list. The first album did exactly what I wanted it to do and it put me in a great position, but the challenge now is to move on from that."

Conor Maynard may be struggling to keep up with the current music trends, after hitting it big with his previous singles.

"At the moment it’s weird. You used to know what would be a hit, but the songs that top the charts these days are all completely different. We’re going to come back with a lot of cool songs."

And one new trend that has everyone talking is Elyar Fox, who is not only being compared to Conor Maynard, but Justin Bieber as well.

"I think people are going to compare me to Bieber and Maynard because I'm 18 and I'm making pop music. Instead of being the next somebody else, I'd rather be the first me."

According to Nottingham Post, Fox has his eyes set on number one on the music charts.

"The next step is a number one – that's the goal."
