Lena Park and Sonnet Son: The Divas Return

Two skillful musicians have released tracks and have started on their upward journey on music charts.

Lena Park's "Next Year" and Sonnet Son's "Everyday Different Tears", both released on April 30, have climbed to top tiers of Bugs, Soribada, Naver Music, and Daum Music charts.

Both are ballad divas that have deviated from their original ballad style to challenge themselves at a new genre.

"Next Year" is an album track on Lena Park's new album SYNCROFUSION; The "syncro" in SYNCROFUSION signifies Lena Park's collaboration with other artists, while "fusion" signals a fusion of genres that Lena will pursue. Lena Park completed the song's composition within a night in collaboration with Yoon Jong Shin and Postino.

"Everyday Different Tears" is supported by hip-hop group Freestyle to create an urban pop genre, carrying a trendy rhythm and heartbreaking melody. Freestyle's member DJ Zio contributed in the writing of the music, while Mino wrote the lyrics to the tragic love story after a breakup.

Instead of making an official comeback with an album, the two divas chose to release tracks to respect the deceased of the ferry Sewol. Lena Park will reveal her new album with a brighter title track in the future, while Sonnet Son is also planning a new song for her official comeback.
