Girls' Generation's 'Mr.Mr.' MV To Surpass 20 Million Views On YouTube

YouTube browsers and K-Pop fans have proven that the popularity of idol groups are expanding internationally. 

It has been reported that girl group Girls' Generation reached 20 million views on YouTube with their song, "Mr. Mr."

The video, which was released on YouTube on February 28, made it to the top of the most viewed K-Pop music videos list in February. 

Since then, it has been gaining quite a bit of attention left and right. 

This music video was released on SMTown's official YouTube page.

In just 2 months, it has received over 20 million views as of May 3.

The music video for "Mr. Mr" hit 10 million views just 13 days after its release, showcasing the huge popularity of Girls' Generation as well as the video itself. 

The unique and different style of this specific music video got a lot of love from the U.S. media and was spotlighted on various sites.

U.S. Billboard also chose Girls' Generation as one of the top 10 K-Pop girl groups everyone should know.

Other girl groups that have been dominating internationally are Girls' Day and 2NE1. 

Girls' Day topped the list of the most viewed K-Pop music videos in January for their single "Something," which is on their mini-album "Everyday 3." 

The music video for "Something" garnered 5 million views to date, according to Manila Bulletin. 

GOT7's "Girls Girls Girls," AOA's "Miniskirt," Rainbow Blaxx's "Cha Cha" and Ga In's "Fxxk U" were also on the list as well. 

As expected, Girls' Generation's "Mr. Mr" dominated the list in February followed by a number of beloved boy groups.

B.A.P's "1004 (Angel)," CNBLUE's "Can't Stop" and S.M. The Ballad's "Breath" were all hits on YouTube in February. 

March was the month of 2NE1, who took over the list with music videos for "Come Back Home" and "Happy."

"Come Back Home" currently has 10.88 million views while "Happy" has 5.19 million views. 

4 Minutes' "Whatcha Doin' Today?," Crayon Pop's "Uh-ee" and Super Junior M's "Swing" followed the success of 2NE1 in March.
