Motorola Droid Mini Review: Specs Of Verizon Wireless Exclusive Handset Incl. 4.3-inch HD Display, DuPont Kevlar Fiber, 1080P HD Video; Offers Free Google Drive

Motorola Droid Mini review: Specs of the Verizon Wireless exclusive handset include a 4.3-inch HD display, DuPont Kevlar fiber body and 1080P HD video. The unit, which has a 10MP camera, also offers the latest Google services, such as video chat, YouTube videos and an extra 50GB of Google Drive storage free for two years.

In a review by CNET it noted that the Motorola Droid Mini has the same fast processor from Motorola’s X8 mobile computing system. It has a speedy processor, long battery life and great call quality, amongst others.

The device is extremely pocket friendly at 4.8 inches tall by 2.4 inches wide and is only 0.35 inch thick. According to CNET, the handset is tiny enough to get into the tightest jeans. It could easily find space even in the most cluttered bag.

The Droid Mini has a 2MP front-facing camera and has a primary 10MP camera with LED flash. It also has a Micro USB port and a large speaker that delivers good volume. The 4.3-inch display is bigger than the iPhone, but compared to other high-end Android handsets, it’s small.

Under the hood, the Droid Mini has Motorola’s X8 Mobile Computing System. It’s constructed with a dual-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU. It’s powered with 2GB RAM and has an internal storage of 16GB and with like other Droid handsets, has no SD card for expanded storage.

The Droid Mini runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and delivers a speedy performance in many aspects. The cameras are decent, but nothing compared to the Sony Xperia Z1 and the mighty Nokia Lumia 1020.

Though its specs are wonderful and the device actually delivers, the price is a hindrance in endorsing this gadget as a good buy. This is specially the case as more compact versions of Android flagships have been released since the Motorola Droid Mini was introduced.
