Aaron Hernandez Murder Case Update: New England Patriot’s Associate Charged With New Murder; Arraignment For Tight End’s Conspirator Set

Aaron Hernandez's murder case update revealed that the former New England Patriots' tight end's associate Carlos Ortiz was charged with another killing and an arraignment has been set.

According to Sports Illustrated, the arraignment of Carlos Ortiz was scheduled on May 27 at the Fall River Superior Court where he will enter his plea for the murder case. The publication, however, said that there were no details involving the supposed crime.

In the recent Aaron Hernandez murder case update, Carlos Ortiz is currently detained on a $500,000 bail after he was charged with accessory to murder after the fact. He was tagged as one of the men who accompanied the New England Patriots' tight end on the night that Odin Lloyd was killed in June of last year.

The said associate of Aaron Hernandez was originally tapped to turn state witness but the prosecution dropped him because they could no longer trust his testimony, said the Latin Post.

Carlos Ortiz's new murder charge came in the wake of Aaron Hernandez murder case update where the former New England Patriots' tight end was indicted last week of reportedly assaulting another inmate on February 25.

The indictment for assault and battery was handed down by a grand jury in Bristol County following the altercation on February 25 in which no man was seriously injured. He was also indicted on allegations that he threatened a jailhouse worker back in November.

He will then be arraigned for the charges so he can enter his plea, according to CNN.

Meanwhile, Andrew Booker who was the subject of the attack was already freed from jail and even took to slamming Aaron Hernandez for "hitting like a bitch."

His attorney, Mike Maloney, however told TMZ that Andrew Booker has no intention of going after Aaron Hernandez because "he doesn't want to be a rat."

The Bristol County Sheriff's Office vowed to look into the altercation since, based on protocol, "no more than one inmate is supposed to be out at a time," CNN said.
