Karbonn Titanium Hexa Is Now The Galaxy S5's Official Rival In India, Specs Incl. 5.5" 1080p Diplay, 2GB RAM, Hexa-Core CPU, Costs Only $283

Karbonn Titanium Hexa: Most people would love to buy the new and probably the best smartphone Samsung has ever released, the Galaxy S5. However, most of them could only dream because of the steep pricing of the Android heavyweight.

Good thing for the Indian market, its mobile phone industry has been improving in terms of smartphone quality and affordability.

One of the more prominent brands in the Asian subcontinent is Karbonn, and its newest smartphone is bound to mix it up with the Galaxy S5 in the country's competitive mobile phone market.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the company has announced the Karbonn Titanium Hexa, a monster phone that has the hots of an international flagship, but the pricing of a midranger.

Priced at only Rs. 16,990 or just $283, one would not expect such a smartphone to pack high-end specs that could match with the Samsung Galaxy S5 handset. Of course, in terms of quality and durability we still cannot tell which one would last longer, but for Android fans who can't get enough of top noth specs, but can only afford so much, the Karbonn Titanium Hexa is surely a great buy.

So what does this Karbonn-made phone have to offer?

The Android powered handset packs a 5.5-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a hexa-core MediaTek MT6591 chipset clocked at 1.5GHz, and a 2GB RAM.

Also on board is 16GB of built-in memory with microSD card expansion, a 13MP primary camera and a 5MP front facing shooter, a 2050mAh battery, and Android 4.4 Kitkat out of the box.

The 2050mAh battery may be a letdown for Android fans who use their phones heavily throughout the day. Fortunately, Kitkat will make things function more smoothly, and could also help conserve power.

So, do you think the Karbonn Titanium Hexa is worth the price?
