Star Wars Battlefront 3's release date gameplay trailer is expected to be shown at the upcoming E3 2014 conference, Polygon reports, sparking new rumors among gamers awaiting the title.

EA Games announced the game during last year's E3 conference, featuring a short gameplay trailer.

Star Wars Battlefront 3's release date version will be shown off at the upcoming E3 conference in June, EA Games CEO Andrew Wilson recently announced.

"Over the next few years, we will deliver some epic new entertainment experiences to our players, built on a foundation of creativity and innovation," Wilson said, according to the International Digital Times.

"I'm looking forward to sharing a lot more with our gamers in just a few short weeks."

EA Games, which endured significant criticism following their Battlefield 4 release date launch, is expected to use the upcoming E3 conference to make up for their recent loss in popularity.

The developer signed a deal with Disney last year to launch new "core" Star Wars games-Dead Space developer Visceral is producing an open-world Star Wars title, Game Spot reports.
