Blackberry Z10 Review: Specs Of BB10 Powered Smartphone Incl. Dual-Core Processor, 4.2-inch Touchscreen, 16GB Storage; Lack Of Apps A Downside

Blackberry Z10 review: Specs of the BB10 running Blackberry Z10 includes a 4.2-inch 1280 x 768 display, 1.5Ghz dual-core processor and 2GB of RAM. It also has 16GB storage and a low price tag. In terms of competitors in terms of price, the unit goes head to head with the price range of the iPhone C, Nokia Lumia 925 and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.

According to reviews, this is one Blackberry smartphone useful for multitasking. But a huge problem of the unit is its lack of apps.

It is important to note that compared to iOS, Android and even Windows Phone, the adapters for the BB10 software is far less. In a 3Q 2013 study by Developer Economics, it shows that BlackBerry 10 only has 14% of North American developers engaged with the platform compared with 17% for Windows Phone, 62% for iOS, and 67% for Android. The overlaps are for developers who use multiple platforms.

The Blackberry Z10, which was launched last year according to Phones Review U.K., was on sale in India a few weeks ago. The unit’s price was cut to RS 17,990 (est. $299) at one point. The price slash was a deduction of up to 60% on the handset’s initial selling price in the country. The gadget review site said that the “low price obviously saw a rush to pick one up with stocks quickly running dry.”

But a quick look at Amazon.com, the price is now at $200, officially making this handset a bargain and budget-friendly unit. It is nearly competing with the $178 Android-powered budget device, Moto G, in terms of price.

Phone Arena said that the BB10, which is running the Blackberry Z10 is a “true multitasking system.” The site noted that like Android, everything remains how you left it, or moves under the hood.

A review by TechRadar noted that the Blackberry Z10 is great for web browsing, has expandable storage, a decent camera and has a famous messaging hub.
