Upcoming Blackberry Phones 2014: Foxconn-Made Z3 'Jakarta Edition' Sells Out On Pre-Orders In Indonesia, Hints The Dawn Of Blackberry's Rise From The Ashes

Upcoming Blackberry phones 2014: By this time last year, Blackberry was facing serious problems with the dismal performance of its Blackberry Z10 and Z30 smartphones, which were expected to bring back some market traction for the Canada-based company.

A few months later and talks of liquidation and company sell out became popular, and by the end of the year, we all thought that we have seen the last of Blackberry, especially that the other pioneering mobile company Nokia has succumb to Microsoft.

However, here we are today in May talking about the new Blackberry smartphone released by the company - the Z3.

As the first Foxconn made phone by Blackberry, the phone aims to target emerging markets and particularly its long-time fans.

Several weeks back, the company unleashed the Z3 'Jakarta Edition' in Indonesia, and according to a new report, all retailers and carriers offering the device have already run out of stocks in pre-orders.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the official Blackberry Z3 version will hit Indonesia a couple of days from now - May 15, and is expected to be priced below $200.

So does the Blackberry Z3 bring something new to the table? Nothing really. But it offers decent specs at an affordable price tag.

The Blackberry Z3 packs a 5-inch qHD (960 x 540) display resolution, Snapdragon 400 chipset, dual-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, a 1.5GB RAM, and 8GB of internal memory.

There is also a microSD card slot that can support up to 32GB of storage, a 5MP primary shooter and a 1.1MP front cam. The smartphone runs on a 2,500mAh battery which should be enough to last an entire day of moderate usage.

Like other Blackberry devices, the Z3 will run the latest BB OS, which in several reports claim to support sideloading of Android apps.

Unfortunately, the Blackberry Z3 is now only available in Indonesia.
