Upcoming Windows phones 2014: Ever since Microsoft announced the new version of Windows Phone, it seems like more and more manufacturers do not want to get left behind and are already working on their own WP-powered devices. 

Aside from top-tier companies like Samsung, Sony and LG showing interest in Microsoft's mobile platform, other emerging brands such as Micromax and Prestigio have also expressed their interest. 

And in a report by GSM Arena, Prestigio may soon be releasing the WP-powered smartphone. A leaked image of the Prestigio phone surfaced and shows us a similar design to previous smartphones from the company. 

Dubbed as the MultiPhone PAP5507, the device will be a midranger which should come with an affordable price tag. 

Some specs of the Windows Phone 8.1-powered smartphone include a display resolution of 1280 x 768 or an HD screen, a Snapdragon chipset clocked at 1.2GHz, and a capable 8 megapixel shooter at the back. 

Unfortunately, that is all we know about the device. Thankfully, we know more details about the operating system it will run. 

During the BUILD conference more than a month ago, Microsoft showcased how much more fluid navigation and app transitions would be in Windows Phone 8.1. Aside from that, the homescreen can now be customized to fit any image you want from your gallery, or from the device's stock photos. 

For the first time, Windows Phone finally gets its own notification center where all notifs are located. And last, there is the highly-anticipated Cortana voice assistant which Microsoft claims to work better than either Siri or Google Voice.

In previous reports, the Windows Phone 8.1 will go live on June 24 in supported devices. With that schedule in line, we may want to check the Prestigio MultiPhone PAP5507, as well as other upcoming WP-powered phones when that day comes.
