"Castle" season 7 spoilers will still involve wedding bells after the tragic ending to this season as the series' executive producer is trying to make "Bones," where the main characters are happy and married, as a blueprint to follow.

Andrew Marlowe told TV Guide that they just couldn't forsake what Castle and Beckett has gone through in their relationship.

"Will there be challenges? Yeah, all relationships are challenged," he said "And we're hoping to break some new ground when we come back next season, but we're very excited about it."

He also revealed that the producers and writers of the show knew the cost of ending the season in "flames" since viewers anticipated a happy ending.

"We know that people are looking for that [wedding] moment, and that's a moment that we're going to get to. But there's still some storytelling that we have to get through before we get there," he said.

In the season finale, Castle was on his way to the wedding ceremony when his vehicle was run off by a black SUV. After Beckett arrives at the scene, fire already engulfed Castle's vehicle.

Marlowe also assured that Castle will not be killed off heading forward.

When TV Guide asked: "Castle's burning car is a pretty bleak image. Can you give us some hope for his survival?"

To which, the executive producer answered: "I think we know what the title of the show is."

In another interview with Entertainment Weekly, the executive producer revealed that they are looking at other shows where the characters are married but it doesn't do anything to hamper the storytelling.

"You look at Bones as the model and there's a version where you go on to season 10, 11, 12 and we'll see if our people have the appetite for that," the executive producer said.
