Xbox One Games With Gold Starts June 2014; Halo Spartan Assault Free Next Month! Xbox Live Subscribers To Get Extra Game And Discounts Of Up To 75%
Xbox One Games with Gold is about to begin next month.
Microsoft announced today that the Games With Gold promotion will be available for Xbox One users beginning this June 2014.
And to kick off the latest offering, Xbox One Games With Gold will offer "Max: The Curse Of Brotherhood" and "Halo: Spartan Assault as free games. Moreover, as posted on Gamespot, Games with Gold will be offering "subscription-based access to free games" to Xbox Live Gold members and it commences also next month.
Furthermore, according to Joystiq, the Games With Gold is celebrating its first year anniversary on Xbox 360, thus an additional free game for Xbox Live Gold members will be provided. In addition to June's free games for Xbox Live Gold members, "Dark Souls" and "Charlie Murder," Xbox 360 Live subscribers will also get "Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edtion."
It was also noted on the post that the free games for Xbox One users are only available to active subscribers of the Gold program. Gamers will automatically lose the free games they have downloaded once the Xbox Live Gold subscription ended.
Games with Gold started last year for Xbox 360 subscribers. This program from Microsoft bestows to free games to Xbox Live Gold subscribers each month. The first free game is being made available on the 1st day of the month, and it will be then replaced by the second free title on the 16th.
Aside from the Xbox One Games With Gold offering, "Deals with Gold" is also set to launch this June 2014, offering discounts for various titles. Phil Spencer, Xbox Head shared.
"In the coming months, we will offer significant savings of up to 50 - 75 percent off certain titles. This program will continue to be available for Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox 360."
This June, two of the discounted games to be offered are Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome.
Microsoft will also launch a virtual VIP room as part of Xbox One Games With Gold program Xbox Live Gold using Xbox One will be able to get the latest update about free games, monthly deals and other benefits.
