LG G3 release date: After months of waiting, we finally get to see some official images of the upcoming Android superphone, the LG G3. And from what we can see, it sure is a gorgeous device that will be ripe for the picking once it launches in several markets around the world. 

Ever since Samsung, Sony and HTC unveiled their respective flagships, all eyes are already on LG, wondering if the Korean company would be able to develop a device at par with such high-end handsets. Well, it looks like LG could be winning the flagship race after all.

As previously leaked, the LG G3 looks like it will have a brushed metal back cover, though there is still a possibility that it would be a durable plastic cover, just like the G2 which launched in September last year. 

While the LG G3's design and build are just top notch and would surely blow the Samsung Galaxy S5 out of the water, its specs are also high caliber and can be considered the best in the mobile industry today. 

Stating previous rumors and reports, the upcoming Android flagship device will get a 5.5-inch display with QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution which makes it one of the only three smartphones which have the same display. 

There also lies a Snapdragon 801 chipset, a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.5GHz to match with the Sony Xperia Z2, Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8, and 3GB of RAM for superior multi-tasking capabilities. 

At the back lies a 13MP primary camera with advanced OIS for high quality images and videos. Just like previous flagships from the Korean manufacturer, the G3 will get the latest Android version, 4.4.2 KitKat with a 3,000mAh battery. It may not be enough to power the QHD for an entire day, but we still have to see whether LG would be able to make up for it with added features.
