Nokia Lumia Icon review: Specs of the Windows Phone 8 powered Nokia Lumia Icon includes a 5-inch OLED display, 20MP PureView camera and a 2.2Ghz quad-core processor. This unit is built for a lensman and like all other Nokia Lumia devices, sports a high-end look from its sleek boxy designs.

The Nokia Lumia Icon is now available with Verizon for $149 for a 2-year service agreement. Thanks to its impressive camera spec, the device is easily deemed a digital photographer’s delight.

According to Phone Arena, one of the highlights of the Nokia Lumia Icon is its 20MP PureView camera with optical image stabilization, ZEISS optics, double LED flash, and plenty of manual controls offered by a pre-loaded Nokia Camera app.

The snapper of the new Nokia Lumia Icon maybe similar to the one present on the Lumia 1520, which means this is a device that can be expected to produce great photos and videos. The Nokia Lumia Icon can be set to save two files for each shot - a full-res 19MP image for cropping or editing and a scaled down 5MP image size that is ideal for sharing online. Phone Arena notes that photographers would be happy to know that the smartphone can save in RAW (DNG) format for post-processing.

The gadget-focused site says that videos taken by the Nokia Lumia Icon should look and sound outstanding as well. Features that could make this happen for the phone include four built-in microphones, the smartphone can capture high-quality audio even at very high volume levels. Phone Arena notes that Nokia’s software take advantage of the sensor’s large size by enabling pixelation-free zoom of up to 3x in recording videos.

The Nokia Lumia Icon’s 5-inch OLED display is a huge selling point for the device. Resolution for the unit is at 1080 x 1920, enabling the Lumia Icon to have a PPI of 441 pixels per inch. The touchscreen also has super sensitive properties, which include the ability to operate it with a pen, fingernail, or even through a glove.
