Nokia Lumia 630 Release Date: Midrange Handset Is Now Official In Asia, Costs Only €129 For Dual-SIM Version

Nokia Lumia 630 release date: More than a month after it was unveiled at Microsoft's BUILD conference, the Nokia midranger Lumia 630 is now available in Asia starting at €119 for the single version, and €129 for the dual-SIM variant.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Windows Phone 8.1-powered smartphone will become available in several Asian markets this week. Meanwhile, the Lumia 630 is expected to hit the EU and US markets in the next couple of weeks.

In case you missed it, the Nokia Lumia 630 is the Finnish manufacturer's last midrange device before its mobile division joined Microsoft a couple of weeks back. However, it sure provided a lot of awesome features to the phone, especially with the arrival of the Windows Phone 8.1 update.

In the BUILD event, WP 8.1 brings cool features and apps such as Cortana voice assistant, an Action Center which Windows Phone's first notification area, more customization options especially for the homescreen, Data Sense, Wi-Fi Sense, and Storage Sense.

If you are already poised to buy this Nokia phone, then wait until you have checked out its specs. The Lumia 630 packs a 4.5-inch FWVGA ClearBlack IPS LCD display protected by a Gorilla Glass 3 screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, a quad-core CPU running at 1.2GHz, and 8GB of internal memory with an option for microSD card expansion.

Unfortunately, there is only a 512MB RAM on board, though based on experience, RAM usage has not been a problem in most Windows Phone-powered devices in the past. There is also a 5MP primary shooter at the back with LED flash.

In the report, the Nokia Lumia 630 would be available in EU probably at around €150. The smartphone will come in a variety of color options which include bright orange, bright green, bright yellow, black and white.
