LG G Pad 7.0 Specs, Release Date: New Android Slate Could Be An Affordable Device For Budget Consumers, Packs 7" HD Display, 1GB RAM, Android Kitkat

LG G Pad 7.0 specs, release date: Several days ago, LG announced three midrange Android tablets, but did not mention anything about each device's specs. For consumers that's quite disappointing, especially coming from a worldwide brand such as LG.

Fortunately, the AnTuTu Benchmarking app managed to get a short spec list for the 7-inch version of the G Pad.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the benchmark unveiled midrange specs for the LG G Pad 7.0. While a release date is not available at the moment, we expect the device to hit the market in the next few weeks.

So what's so special about this LG G Pad 7.0? Well, nothing really. It is a midrange slate that will best fit Android fans who want to get a budget device.

In the report, the LG G Pad 7.0 specs include a 7-inch display with an HD (1280 x 720) resolution, a Snapdragon MSM8226 chipset, a quad-core Cortex-A7 CPU running at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM and an 8GB internal storage. While the list did not mention anything about a microSD card slot, we sure hope it would be available for the Android tablet.

Other specs include a 3.2MP primary camera at the back and a 1.3MP front cam for selfies and video calls.

So this is the 7-inch version. There are still no details yet whether the other two (8-inch and 10.1-inch) versions would have similar midrange specs, or more high-end specs to compete with Samsung in the Android realm, and Apple's iPads.

LG has been consistent in delivering devices in all spec and price ranges, from entry-level to high-end. Slowly, it is becoming more like Samsung during its early years in the smartphone and mobile competition.

We will see in the coming months if LG would be able to retain its momentum in competiting directly with its fellow Korean company.
