New Android tablets 2014: This year has already been a fruitful year in terms of device releases from various manufacturers around the world. But in case you still have not made your choice, then you may want to check this upcoming Samsung tablet. 

According to a report by GSM Arena, several leaked images have been spotted online, all showcasing a new Samsung Android-powered slate. 

Dubbed as the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, the Android tablet is expected to be a heavyweight in terms of build quality, and performance. 

Previous rumors are pointing at several possible specs, including a QHD or 2K (2560 x 1600) AMOLED display. The Korean manufacturer is reportedly using AMOLED once more and have phased out the IPS LCDs which have graced its previous Android slates. 

Other alleged specs include 3GB of RAM for superior multi-tasking capabilities, an octa-core Exynos chipset, an 8MP primary camera with LED flash, and a 2MP front shooter for selfies and video calls. 

Thankfully, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will come with Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat out of the box. 

In the past, Samsung has been criticized for not including the freshest updates in its new devices. The company also had issues in the past when it comes to updating year-old smartphones and tablets. Now, Samsung is releasing all of its devices with the latest Android version on board. 

While we certainly do not have a release date for this Android device just yet, we assume that a Samsung announcement would take place in a matter of weeks. The fact that the build and design of the device are already finished tells us that production could be on its final phase. 

The specs of this Android tablet sure are mouth-watering, but if the Korean manufacturer does not manage to come up with an affordable price tag, this could be just another impossible dream for the mass market.
