CMT Music Awards 2014 Performers Announced; Miranda Lambert Leads Nominations, Carrie Underwood Will Sing; Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert to Debut New Song at Billboard Awards

2014 CMT Music Awards announced their starting lineup. Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Florida Georgia Line, Luke Bryan and Miranda Lambert are all confirmed to perform at this year's CMT Music Awards. 


This year's 2014 CMT Music Awards will Featuring more performances this year than ever before. The 2014 CMT Music Awards will broadcast from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 4 at 8:00 p.m. ET.  Additional performers as well as presenters and host to be announced soon.
2014 CMT Music Awards will be produced by  Veteran live event producer Michael Dempsey returns to executive produce the 2014 CMT MUSIC AWARDS alongside director Joe DeMaio.


Carrie Underwood and Blake Shelton are among the list of top performers. 


Miranda Lambert leads the CMT Music Awars this year with six nominations. Shelton, Church and Underwood are each nominated in two categories. All of the performers are nominated for this year's Video of the Year.


Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert will also be performing a duet at the Billboard Music Awards.


Carrie Underwood is working on her new album, which means she's running through a lot of new songs. One of the new songs is a duet Carrie Underwood will be singing with Miranda Lambert.


Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood are two of country music's biggest names. The pair will joining forces at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards.
Billboard announced that Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood will perform their new duet "Somethin' Bad" during the award ceremony, which will happen live on Sunday, May 18.


Miranda Lambert and fellow country music superstar Carrie Underwood each have a bunch of hit songs and awards. The brand new song "Somethin' Bad" is off Lambert's upcoming album, "Platinum," which hits stores June 3.


Country music superstars Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood join an already star-studded lineup. It's already been announced that musical performers at the 2014 Billboard Awards will include 5 Seconds ofSummer, Florida Georgia Line, Imagine Dragons, Jason Derulo, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Luke Bryan, OneRepublic and Pitbull.

Lambert's said "I'm a huge Carrie Underwood fan. "Somethin' Bad" is a meshing of our styles and there aren't many female collaborations in our format so I'm really excited to be debuting it on the Billboard Awards."


Lambert admitted that singing with Carrie made her nervous. She told the media "Singing with Carrie Underwood is very, very intimidating. I'll be honest. She is an amazing vocalist. Asking her to do this was nerve-wracking. I sent her an e-mail, a long, blabbing e-mail about if she wanted to sing on the record, it could be cool, but maybe she didn't want to, and if she liked the song, but she didn't have to like the song ... and when I sent it, I thought, 'This sounds ridiculous.'"


Lambert went on to muse "I'm hoping that she'll come to the dark side and blow something up and set something on fire in the video."


This year's Billboard Music Awards will take place live at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena on May 18 at 8 p.m. EST.


The 2014 CMT Music Awards air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, June 4, at 8 p.m. ET on CMT.
