Upcoming Samsung Tablets 2014: Galaxy S Slates Tipped For June 12 Launch, Specs Incl. QHD Displays, Exynos Chipsets, Android 4.4 KitKat

Upcoming Samsung tablets 2014: For the past couple of weeks we have been reading rumors about Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S tablets which would pack high-end specs plus AMOLED displays. In a recent report, it looks like all three slates are tipped toward an announcement date in June.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Korean tech giant sent out invites to a June 12 press event, which is titled 'Tab Into Color'. If the event name tells us anything, it is that the upcoming devices to be announced would be Android tablets, and that they would feature 'colorful' functions.

We are not thinking about fancy color coated back covers, but instead a display type that focuses on color and vibrancy - AMOLED.

In previous reports, we have seen leaked images of the 10.5-inch Galaxy S tablet, and it looks like it is actually one of the three slates to make their debut on June 12.

In the report, the slates come with the following nicknames: there is Chagall for the 10.5-inch version, Klimt for the 8.4-inch edition, and Warhol for the huge 13.3-inch slate.

While the two smaller slates are expected to get the AMOLED displays of Samsung, the biggest of the three may only get LCD due to its size.

While there are no official details yet about the three Android slates, some rumors are pointing to identical internals for the devices. Recent reports claim that all the tablets would get an octa-core Exynos 5420 chipset, QHD (2560 x 1600) resolution, an 8MP camera at the back, a 2MP front cam, and Android 4.4 Kit Kat out of the box.

Once these Android slates go live, Samsung will once again gain the upperhand in terms of market share in the Android and tablet industry. So, is anyone vying for any of these three Galaxy S tablets?
