Upcoming HTC Phones 2014: One M8 Mini Variant Coming To Verizon? Named HTC One Remix

Upcoming HTC phones 2014: It is only a few days since HTC announced the One mini 2, the successor to the original One mini which hit the market one year ago. However, it looks like US carrier Verizon already wants to offer its own version of the device to its subscribers.

According to a report by GSM Arena, a leaked image of the HTC One mini 2 has been spotted online. And because it is allegedly arriving to Verizon, its name has been changed to HTC One Remix, like many other handsets which made the jump.

Both the Remix and the One mini 2 are expected to share the same specs, which include a 4.5-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution, a quad-core CPU, a Snapdragon 400 chipset, and 1GB of RAM for decent multi-tasking performance. Still we cannot guarantee it until either HTC or Verizon has released an official announcement.

Unlike the HTC One M8 and like the One mini 2, the One Remix is also expected to ditch the UltraPixel cameras in favor of a 'better' 13MP primary shooter at the back paired with dual LED flash. The phone still has the 5MP front facing sensor for high quality selfies and video calls.

For many years, Verizon has had a long track record of HTC devices which are based on international variants, one of which was the Droid Max. While it certainly gives the buyer an impression that he is getting a unique model, nothing can change the fact that it works and almost looks exactly the same as several hundred thousand others across the ocean.

We still cannot see whether HTC is really benefiting from such a partnership with Verizon. Maybe it should be time for the Taiwanese manufacturer to release the same branding for its flagship and midrange handsets wherever market they hit.
