On May 20, Taeyang traveled to L.A. where he held a photo shoot for the cover of his upcoming solo album.

Big Bang member Taeyang has been teasing his fans with photos and details regarding his new album, which is set to be released on June 2, 2014.

Taeyang has reportedly been completely involved in the process of making the album as he was spotted checking all the photos after the shoot to make sure that each one matched the concept he is currently going for.

An official has commented that Taeyang has returned to Korea this past weekend from the States and is currently busy finishing up the last minute details for his comeback, which will feature a completely different side of the singer.

"It's been seven months since Taeyang last returned to his fans and we are hoping to show a new side of him. We hope fans are anticipating the new change in his music, style and stage presence," stated the official press release, according to The Inside Korea.

Earlier this week, Taeyang's agency, YG Entertainment, revealed a teaser with the question, "Who's Next?" as a way to promote the 26-year-old's new album, according to Hellokpop. A poster with the words "Rise Taeyang" was also released.

The R&B singer posted the same poster with the caption, "Guess I'm coming back. It's time to #Rise," officially confirming his upcoming solo comeback, reported Yahoo Entertainment Singapore. 

The album, which is expected to be titled "Rise," is expected to showcase Taeyang's "emotional vocals" as well as how much he has grown as an artist. It has not been confirmed whether "Rise" will be an EP of a full studio album.

Taeyang released his most recent single "Ringa Linga," which was his first solo single in more than three years, last November.

The dance/hip hop track was ranked No. 1 on the iTunes singles charts in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Vietnam and Macau.
