HTC One M8 Prime: This Is Our First Look At HTC's 'Premium' Edition Of The One M8, Tipped To Get Higher Resolution Cameras

HTC One M8 Prime: For the past few years, HTC has been copying what Samsung has been doing, at least in terms of releasing versions of its flagship devices. Last year, the Taiwanese manufacturer developed the One mini, and the One max.

Unfortunately, it seems as if HTC always fail to hit the right buttons when it comes to its midrangers, which resulted in loss market share and profit.

However, the company is slowly getting up, mainly due to a successful run of its midrangers in Asia which include a couple of Desire handsets.

Now, HTC is once again eyeing the top of the ladder as it is tipped to be working on a monster smartphone that is even better than its current flagship. Like Samsung's own version, the higher spec'd One M8, is dubbed as Prime.

And in a report by GSM Arena, EV Leaks has done it again and has posted what could be our first real look at the Android smartphone.

Aside from the One M8-ish design in front, we see some changes when it comes to the smartphone's back, where a white strip runs on both the top and bottom of the device.

Another interesting point is the primary camera lens which is now protruding above the phone's back surface. To make it even more intriguing, HTC decided to place an orange-colored ring to make it stand out.

Previous rumors about the HTC One M8 Prime suggest that this could be a more powerful UltraPixel sensor for HTC. In fact a rumor went as far as stating that the Duo Camera would no longer be two 4MP sensors, but two 13MP sensors.

In case this pans out to be true, then I'd consider myself one of the newest fans of HTC. The only downside of its current flagship is the mediocre camera, and this Prime phone might actually provide the solution.
