Upcoming HTC Phones 2014: More Affordable HTC One M8 Ace Appears In Twitter, Could Get 13MP 'Regular' Camera, Only Costs $480

Upcoming HTC phones 2014: While HTC is slowly returning to its old glorious state in the Android world, it is still miles away from its previous success in 2011 when it was the top Android smartphone maker.

This year, it looks like the Taiwanese manufacurer finally has some direction in the release of new smartphones, particularly those in the midrange price level.

And speaking of midrange, the upcoming HTC One M8 Ace is certainly not a midranger as far as specs are concerned. Previous rumors point to the same internals as the current One M8 such as the Snapdragon 801 chipset, quad-core CPU running at 2.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, and the 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution display.

However, when it comes to design build and camera sensors, the One M8 Ace is said to come in durable plastic in order to cut down costs and make it a cheaper device compared to similar-spec'd smartphones in the market.

In a report by GSM Arena, a leaked image surfaced which allegedly showcases a One M8 Ace in red. As we can see from the image, the upper camera sensor was replaced by an LED flash.

This could mean two things: either HTC would place a single camera UltraPixel sensor, or an 'ordinary' camera within the 8MP-16MP range.

Interestingly, HTC also tweeted: More beautiful curves are coming soon.

This could mean that the  One M8 Ace is closer to its release date than we actually think.

Another plus point for HTC is that the One M8 Ace is tipped to cost only $480 or just CNY3,000 in China. This makes the Android powered smartphone a formidable threat to Samsung's Galaxy S5 which shares almost the same specs, but is priced almost $300 more.

So do you think the upcoming HTC One M8 Ace is the smartphone for you? We'll bring you more details once they arrive.
