Nokia X Successor Specs Leaked Via Benchmark, Packs 4.3" Display, Dual-Core CPU, 1GB RAM, 5MP And 0.3MP Shooters

Nokia X: We already saw what Nokia can do when it launched its first ever Android-device, however more than a handful of people were disappointed that it was an entry level handset. A midranger would have fit the bill much better just like what the Lumia 520 did when it took the EU market by storm.

And only a few months after it was announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Nokia X is already rumored to get a successor.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the next generation of the Nokia X, dubbed as the Nokia X2 has just appeared in AnTuTu's Benchmark and left some specs.

However, if you were thinking that Nokia would finally unveil a midrange or even a high-tier Android handset, you may be disappointed once more. The benchmark shows only a slightly upgraded version to the Nokia X.

As we can see from the specs list, the new Android powered Nokia handset will pack a slightly bigger 4.3-inch display with 800 x 480 resolution, a dual-core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz, a Snapdragon 200 chipset, and Adreno 305 GPU for decent graphics performance.

Also on board is a bigger 1GB of RAM compared to the 512MB RAM of the original, and still 4GB of internal memory, hopefully with microSD support.

Whereas the Nokia X only has a 3MP primary camera, the Nokia X2 gets a revamped version - 5 megapixels, as well as a front camera for selfies and video calls.

Running on the Nokia X2 is Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, though that may still change as the device may have been a prototype. We are expecting 4.4 Kitkat though.

However, no matter which version it will get, the Nokia X2 may not get Google services and Play Store access as well out of the box.

So, do you think this move by Nokia is a good one? Or would it be better to work on a higher-end Android device?
