Meghan McCain Steps Up For Her Father to Larry King; Hates Karl Rove; Says Her Father Would Have Lost Even If Jesus Were His Running Mate

Meghan McCain is fiercely defending her father, political stalwart, John McCain.

Speaking to Larry King, Meghan McCain said that it may be true that media "annihilated" former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. That wasn't the reason John McCain lost his 2008 presidential bid against Barrack Obama.

Meghan McCain pointed her finger straight at Karl Rove during an interview with Larry King. The daughter of the former P.O.W. said she hates him. She believes he should apologize to her family. "I hate Karl Rove and I think he still needs to apologize to my family, which he has not done, for things that happened in 2000," McCain said. "I think there was an era where Karl Rove was relevant and I don't know why people still give him attention."

Speaking on Ora.TV's "Politicking" this week, Meghan said that her father, Sen. John McCain, wouldn't have won the 2008 presidential race even if Jesus Christ himself had run as his vice president.

When Ora.TV's host Larry King asked Meghan McCain if McCain made a mistake in picking Sarah Palin as his vice president, she answered "No I don't believe so. My father could have had Jesus Christ as his running mate and it wouldn't have mattered."

McCain was highly critical of GOP political operative Karl Rove. In 2002, Rove was accused of circulating a rumor that the her father had an illegitimate black child. McCain said Rove's recent comments about Hillary Clinton are "disgusting."

"I think what we saw with Karl Rove talking about her health, though, is sort of just the beginning," McCain said. "Just the tip of the iceberg of what's going to happen with the attacks on her."
