But now he will forever be remembered as the tennis player that whipped out all the impressive dance moves on the French Open 2014 clay court. He engaged in a dance-off with Laurent Lokoli to DJ Bob Sinclair and DJ Big Ali during Kids Day Saturday in Court Philippe Chatrier. But it turns out he did more than engage in a dance battle that day. The rumors are that he popped the big question to his Australian girlfriend, Chelsea Altman!

It was set out to be one memorable day for Gael Monfils. On Saturday morning, the French Sun-Times reported that Gael Monfils and his girlfriend Chelsea were shopping for engagement rings! They spotted were looking at some pieces at a few major jewelry stores.

A source quoted by Sun-Times said that "He's madly in love with her," and that the relationship is "heating up." Sounds like one reason to really go all out on the French Open court!

There are very few things known about the 27-year-old French tennis player's current girlfriend, Chelsea Altman. But it seems like they have been together for a while and live in Nyon, Switzerland. Gael Monfils has previously been linked with Dominika Cibulkova, a Slovakian tennis player, and Alize Cornet, the current French number one.

The day after the report, Gael Monfils' rep said "no comment" to whether the 27-year-old tennis player was tying the knot with his Australian girlfriend. I'm sure that the reporters will be keeping a close eye on Chelsea in the stands at the French Open to see if she's sporting any big rocks on her left ring finger!
