f(x) Receives Much Recognition Overseas Beyond Korea

Girl group f(x) has risen as the 'Top of the K-Pop.'

f(x) is in the center of attention as their newly released mini album has not only topped Korean music charts, but also was popular in YouTube. Unlike Girls' Generation, Super Junior, SHINee or other SM Entertainment idol group, f(x) wasn't receiving much recognition overseas, but with 'Electric Shock' f(x) revealed their full potential.

The girls made their way to the top of major album sales charts like Hanteo and Hottracks for the second week of June from June 11 through June 17. Also title track ‘Electric Shock’ ranked first on weekly chart of major digital music charts. The girls are aiming for a double win with physical and digital sales.

f(x)'s new mini album's title song music video released on June 12, 'Electric Shock,' ranked 1st in 'Today's Most Viewed Video' in YouTube, and topped in 'Most Liked Video,' and 'Most Discussed Video.' Currently today the music video, 'Electric Shock' exceeded 10 million views. According to worldwide spread chart showing from which country people viewed, all over the world watched 'Electric Shock' other than Africa's poorest country Chad, especially North America, China, Japan, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia showed particularly high views.

Furthermore, following Girls Generation-TaeTiSeo's mini album 'Twinkle,’ f(x)’s ‘Electric Shock’ placed second on the Korean album chart of global internet bookstore Amazon.com.

A famous U.S. blogger Perez Hilton, who is also known to love K-pop, posted 'Electric Shock' on his blog and wrote "we love Kpop's sweetness. f(x) is full of sweet and powerful melodies and killer beats." He also added that "f(x), the colorful girl group,' is showing wonderful and futuristic music."
