Big Bang's Taeyang is making his return after seven months since releasing his previous single, "Ringa Linga." Taeyang's album was delayed and he stated in an interview, "I was a bit bummed out because my album release kept getting delayed. 'RINGALINGA' gives me a bit of hope, and I'm happy". News came out from YG's official blog that had two pictures of Taeyang. The words written were "Happy Birthday." There was also a second photo which the captions stated, "RISE TAEYANG/NEW ALBUM 2014.06.02." Taeyang stated what his upcoming album will be like in terms of the concept. He said, "full of variety"; he had said, "I've developed concepts that I explored in my first album, widening my music spectrum through challenging new things." Taeyang's album that will be released June 2nd, is rumored to be titled, "Rise."

On May 23rd, a teaser photo regarding Big Bang's book titled, "G-DRAGON x TAEYANG IN PARIS 2014" was released. YG Entertainment released the photo through their official Facebook and Twitter page. Taeyang and G-Dragon's book will be released this June in South Korea, Japan, and China. What fans will see when they get the book is all of the latest fashion trends; which is worn by Taeyang and G-Dragon. Reservations for the book will initiate on March 28th. The book will be officially released on June 11th.

On May 28th, a second teaser for Taeyang's solo album was released. The image was filmed in Los Angeles and shows Taeyang with a lot of charisma. Taeyang is currently working on how to once again wow his devoted fans when he returns. There will be an offline record release on June 10th!
