Girls' Generation's first Japan tour DVD and Blue-ray Disc, Japan First Tour Girls' Generation, has been very popular in the first half year.

According to Oricon 2012 the first half year ranking released on June 20, the Blue-ray Disc sold 56,000 copies and placed 2^nd on 'Music BD Sales' category. Girls' Generation tour DVD sold 148,718 copies placing fourth on the DVD chart.

Girls' Generation '1^st Japan Arena Tour' took place May of last year with 14 performances in 6 cities drawing in a total of 140,000 fans. The tour Blue-ray Disc and DVD released simultaneously on December 14 dominated the Oricon weekly charts in both categories at the same time, becoming the first foreign artist to have done so.
