June Boy Band Comebacks: B2ST, ZE:A, ToppDogg, Boyfriend, U-KISS

May is almost over, and June's about to begin, heralding several summer K-Pop boy band comebacks! Groups like INFINITE and VIXX have already made their summertime comebacks, but a few other groups are getting in on the competition. This year we'll see some well established groups go head to head against rookies.

B2ST

This long-awaited comeback was delayed due to the Sewol ferry incident that put the entire entertainment industry on hold. But now the group has announced its upcoming comeback, but given fans very little information.

Cube Entertainment posted an image announcing the comeback on the company's official Facebook page, revealing that the group will finally comeback on June 16.

ZE:A

In comparison to the mysterious comeback of B2ST, ZE:A's comeback is extremely well announced. The group has dropped several teaser images and videos, and "Breathe" is set to be released on June 2.

The teaser video that was revealed on May 29 gave fans a taste of what "Breathe" would sound and look like, and implied that it will build off of the popularity of aliens thanks to You Who Came From The Stars. The teaser showed the members on space ships, and even one standing next to Doctor Who's TARDIS.

ToppDogg

The most rookie artists to announce a June comeback is ToppDogg. The group has gained some attention for its unique concepts, where the members take different styles of music and apply hip-hop elements to them.

ToppDogg began promoting their comeback with individual member teaser videos, and recently released a teaser video. While their previous song, "Arario" was influenced by traditional Korean music, their next song "AmadeuS" will clearly have classical influences. No news on the release date.

Boyfriend

Boyfriend has come a long way from being the sweet little high school boyfriends that they debuted as. Now, the members are having an "Obsession." The teaser video features Boyfriend with a much stronger, violent image than they've ever really portrayed before, and features some of the members shirtless while working out.

The group will start promoting "Obsession" on June 5, and the album will be released on June 9.

U-KISS

With "Mono Scandal," U-KISS will be showing a new, sexier side to the group, and introducing their newest member, Jun.

U-KISS released the teaser video for "Mono Scandal" earlier this week, showing the members with a more Latin-fusion sound and image than the group's typical synthopop sound and style. It's definitely a nice change, and it will be interesting to see how fans feel about it. We'll find out when "Mono Scandal" is released on June 2.
