"Are you burning with the passion of Hallyu?" That's the question the organizers of KCON 2014 want to ask K-Pop fans across the US.

For the first time ever, North America's largest K-Pop and Korean entertainment culture convention, will crown a 'Superstar KCON' - a sort of ultimate super fan.

The contest begins on June 5 and the first prize winner will not only earn the title and recognition from K-Pop fans far and wide, but will also take home a monetary prize of $5,000.

To enter fans may submit creative videos of themselves performing their Hallyu-inspired talent. Submissions may range from things such as singing cover songs, dance routines, traditional instrument performances, or anything else that shows passion for Korean pop culture and entertainment.

During the first round of the contest, other vans will vote on the videos. Those in the top 50% will move on to round two in which the judges select the ten most outstanding videos. The ten finalists will compete against each other live at KCON 2014 to become the first ever Superstar KCON.

The videos will be judged on five elements: connection to Hallyu culture, creativity, style, personality, and overall performance.
