Kristin Chenoweth On The Road Back to Broadway, Or Will She Return By Train? By Sea?

Kristin Chenoweth, "Wicked" star, is on her way back to Broadway and it looks like Chenoweth will return by sea, or is it by train? Kristin will make some wicked stops in a duo performance and will also pull double duty for Royal Caribbean as Quantum Experience Advisor for entertainment.

Royal Caribbean announced that Kristin Chenoweth, who has been a godmother to Quantum of the Seas, will also serve as Quantum Experience Advisor for Entertainment. The Tony Award winner will be cruising to Broadway to play Hollywood diva Lily Garland in "On the Twentieth Century" in February.

"On the Twentieth Century" is a 1978 musical comedy about a luxury train trip from Chicago to New York City. The play will be mounted by the Roundabout Theater Company.

Kristin Chenoweth will lead a revival of "On the Twentieth Century," which was written by the legendary Broadway team of Betty Comden and Adolph Green. Music was written by Cy Coleman.

It was also announced that Chenoweth will perform a duet with award-winning actress and singer Lea Michele when Chenoweth is inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame at this year's Opening Night at the Hollywood Bowl. The pair will perform on  Saturday, June 21, at 8 pm.

Chenoweth and Michele first performed together on the television series "Glee" in 2009. Chenoweth's recurring character "April Rhodes" sang "Maybe This Time" from the classic musical "Cabaret" with Michele's character "Rachel Berry."

As Quantum Experience Advisor for Entertainment, Chenoweth joins a lineup of Quantum Experience Advisors like HGTV-star and interior designer Genevieve Gorder, athlete and adventurer Dhani Jones, and James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Schwartz.

Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, Executive Vice President, Operations, Royal Caribbean International said "Kristin is by far our most involved godmother yet and it is such a joy to be working with her. We are privileged to have a world renowned performer such as her, sharing insights and feedback on the entertainment that we are so passionate about. Seeing the excitement and energy she has for what we are doing with Quantum of the Seas is such a powerful reinforcement that we are creating something truly special."

Chenoweth added "It has been such a wonderful experience to be the godmother for this incredible ship, and I am delighted to make my contribution as the Quantum Experience Advisor for Entertainment. I have been blown away by what I've seen so far from the entertainment onboard Quantum of the Seas and am just so impressed, and that's not easy to do.  This is the real deal, and audiences have a lot to look forward to."

Kristin Chenoweth will be hosting a live Google Hangout on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 4p.m. (EDT), to reveal the lineup of entertainment offerings onboard Quantum of the Seas alongside Nick Weir, Royal Caribbean's Vice President, Entertainment.

Chenoweth's first webisode of her work on Quantum of the Seas' entertainment is available online.

Chenoweth created the role of Glinda in "Wicked." She last appeared on Broadway in "Promises, Promises" in 2010. "On the Twentieth Century," will star also star Peter Gallagher as her former lover, the bankrupt theater producer Oscar Jaffee. The last time we saw Gallagher on Broadway was in "The Country Girl" in 2008. In 1992, Gallager played Sky Masterson in the revival of "Guys and Dolls." Gallagher is best known for the Steven Soderberg movie "Sex, Lies, and Videotape" and the Fox series "The O.C."
