The dumb duo is back and viewers got the chance to have a glimpse of Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels' hilarity in the 'Dumb and Dumber 2' trailer which made its debut on the 'Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.'

Lloyd Christmas and Harry Dunne first graced the silver screen twenty years ago. Now that they're back for a new story, Carrey proudly tells Fallon that 'Dumb and Dumber 2' is not just a simple film but a "phenomenon."

The 'Dumb and Dumber 2' trailers shows Christmas being locked up in a psychiatric institution for the past two decades. The best friends eventually reunite to search for Dunne's long lost daughter in an attempt to ask for one of her kidneys.

The 'Dumb and Dumber 2' trailer hints that the duo will be having troublesome adventures throughout the film which likewise features Kathleen Turner and Jennifer Lawrence.

Several fans have shared their sentiments on Facebook regarding the 'Dumb and Dumber 2' trailer:

"Whoever dislikes this trailer is clearly someone who does not understand Harry and Lloyd are dumb," wrote Shane Merritt.

Todd Rainey believes that the return of the original actors is the film's essence: "Thank you Jim and Jeff for agreeing to do this movie!! It would NOT have been the movie it will be if you two hadn't accepted the offer to do it! You both ROCK!!!"

"It's kind of like not seeing an old friend for 20 years, you've waited so long to see them and now you have the opportunity to catch up. That's how I feel with this movie, even if it's only half as good as the first, it's freaking Lloyd and Harry and boy have I missed them!!!" as per Sam Packard.

Derek Fisher defends the film from pessimists: "What is wrong with the trailer? Already expecting it to be a terrible film? I mean come on it's been 20 years, the actors have aged, and it's no longer the 90s. Of course it's going to look different."

'Dumb and Dumber 2' release date is reportedly on November 20. The original 1994 film earned $250 million in box-office. While a 2003 sequel entitled 'Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd' has been released, the film, which lacked the presence of Carrey and Daniels, did not live up to the producers' expectations.
