BEAST 'Good Luck' MV Shows The Group Maturing With A Sexy, Darker Image

BEAST is back, with a new image and new song.

The idol group has portrayed a wide range of concepts in the past, but this is the first time that BEAST has portrayed a dark, sexual concept. Rather than being too sexy, the concept suits BEAST's image and reveals another layer to the group's growth as idol-artists.

BEAST's rapper Junhyung, who has produced many songs for BEAST, created"Good Luck" with Kim Tae Jo, giving his own flavor to the song that would best express BEAST. BEAST has grown over the years from a simple dance group to a group that can switch between serious sounding melodies to upbeat dance lyrics, as in the case of "Good Luck."

The video explores the concept of someone telling an ex-lover "good luck," after breaking up, but involves, sex, murder, and intrigue that is missing from some of BEAST's other videos.

"Good Luck" even includes a scene where one of the members is assassinated, which is surely difficult for fans to watch.

Combined with the plot of the music video are perfectly choreographed dance scenes, where the members of BEAST show off powerful dance moves that match the meaning of the song.

The song is mostly a dance track, but has a melodious opening sung by Yoseob, as well as a rap performed by Junhyung. Even though the rest of the song is very upbeat, the dark meaning behind the lyrics and the video gives an edge to the difficult emotions expressed by "Good Luck."

Fans may be shocked to see BEAST's members in extremely sexual situations, both in bed and outside of it, as well as a sexy dance that includes the members thrusting their hips and motioning suggestively to their pelvises.

BEAST's often switched between pop-sounding dance tracks and darker songs, and "Good Luck" takes these two styles and combines them in a way that suits the matured idol group.
