Solo vocalist and actor Seo In Guk returns to K-Drama on June 16 with the whimsical program “High School King of Manners.” “High School King of Manners” will mark the return of Korean drama to the high school setting after a lengthy absence.

While weekend and family dramas will often begin with a younger cast, the primary focus of the drama will shift towards the adult lives of the characters. “The Heirs” is one of the most recent dramas to maintain the focus of a teen romantic drama.

The KBS fantasy teen drama “High School:Love On” which stars INFINITE members Woo Hyun and Sung Yeol will begin airing on June 27, joining “High School King of Manners” as another teen focused program.

“High School King of Manners” is billed as a romantic comedy which should make the program a refreshing alternative to the recent influx of angst ridden melodramas.

Seo In Guk portrays Lee Min Seok, a high school student who is inadvertently drawn into impersonating his older brother. His brother Lee Hyung Seok is conveniently identical to him regardless of the fact that there is nine years between their ages.

Hyung Seok pleads with Min Seok to impersonate him as an information technologies CEO, forcing the high school hockey player to lead a double life.

Min Seok faces many challenges as a young student who is unfamiliar with Korean office culture.

His savior in the workplace is the quirky and disheveled temporary worker Jung Soo Young (Lee Ha Na). Undoubtedly, romance will bloom between Min Seok and Soo Young which could make “High School King of Manners” another addition to the latest trend of noona romances.

Model turned actor Lee Soo Hyuk adds fire to the workplace within the drama as Yoo Jin Woo.

The drama which is also known as “High School King of Savvy,” will air on tvN starting June 16 on Mondays and Tuesdays in the 23:00 time slot.
