Captain America 2 The Winter Soldier ‘One-Shot’ Short Film Omitted From Bonus Features –Tradition Has Better Chance With ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’

It has almost been a sort of tradition for Marvel to include short films on their hit movies however, the studio has decided to skip including a "one-shot" short film for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

While, this is truly a disappointment for Marvel fans, it does not necessarily mean that this is the end of the one-shot movies for the studio, but fans may have to wait until at least Guardians of the Galaxy will hit home videos before seeing another of the short film series, that is if Marvel decides to continue.

Fans and critics were surprised with Marvel's decision to omit the one-shot film of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, given that two of prime-time ABC television series have been inspired by these one-shot films, proof that these have been growing in scale.

Agent Carter, which was released as a one-shot film in Iron Man 3 Blu-ray last September, featuring Hayley Atwell as Captain America's leading lady Peggy Carter, will focus on her works as the founder of S.H.I.E.L.D., attempting to make her way in the male-dominated world of superheroes during the World War II.

Meanwhile, another Marvel one-shot film from The Avengers 2012 Blu-ray release, Item 47, inspired Agent Carter's present-day counterpart Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The ABC series features the global police force's attempts to track down a missing alien weapon which, has fallen into the hands of a bank robber and her boyfriend. The TV series also brought back Clark Gregg's deceased character, Agent Coulson to life.

Thor: The Dark World released All Hail the King one-shot film, for its home video release, and caught up with Ben Kingsley's character from Iron Man3, projecting plot lines for a potential Iron Man 4.

While Marvel, recently confirmed the news that they will no longer include a one-shot film to Captain America: The Winter Soldier telling Entertainment Weekly in the past that they might temporarily stop including one-shot films to its new releases if they don't find a strong story idea or that their full focus will be needed on the feature film pipeline.

However, the studio did not mention if when will they resume in bringing back one-shot films to their home video releases, perhaps on Guardians of the Galaxy?
