Star Wars 7 Casting News: Harrison Ford To Miss Eight Weeks Of Shooting; Ankle Injury Worse Than Producers Thought

Star Wars 7 casting news has been all over the internet lately and one major development has caught the eye of everyone specially the fans.

Reports that Harrison Ford injured his ankle on the set got everyone fear of a possible filming delay, with that Star Wars bosses are reportedly afraid that Ford would have to miss up to eight weeks of shooting to mend his injury.

According to Mirror.co.uk, the doctors have confirmed that the original Indiana Jones has indeed broken his ankle, however news about a pelvic injury were not confirmed and he is expected to leave the hospital anytime soon.

Adding, that his wife Calista Flockhart is on her way to UK to tend to her husband's fast recovery.

Star Wars bosses on the other hand are busy with the rescheduling to avoid unnecessary setbacks.

According to a source close to the situation, "The initial day or two after the accident it was hard to move things around but now we have had more time we can juggle things, bring some scenes forward and push others back. There are lots of other actors in the movie so it is not a disaster. We are still confident the film can stay on schedule.

"At the moment it looks like Harrison is going to be off set for 6-8 weeks but the main priority is making sure he is OK."

And while a spokesperson for Star Wars is "Hoping to announce some good news soon," previous Star Wars casting news rumors are confirmed.

Long-rumored British actor Maisie Richarson-Sellers has not been named during the "first wave" of Star Wars Episode 7 cast revelations which, paved way to the speculation that there could be more news coming our way soon.

"Game Of Thrones" Actress Gwendoline Christie and "12 Years A Slave" Star Lupita Nyong'o and are the new addition to the new movie's list of casts.

"I could not be more excited about Lupita and Gwendoline joining the cast of Episode VII," Lucasfilm president and producer Kathleen Kennedy said.

"It's thrilling to see this extraordinarily talented ensemble taking shape."

The two ladies will join the rest of the cast including, 'Girls' star Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow are among the chosen ones.

They will join original stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and R2-D2, who was actually the first cast confirmed to be joining Star Wars Episode 7.

In other news, while director J.J. Abrams seems to be nonchalant about any Star Wars 7 casting rumors he did not want to take one rumor involving his film sitting down.

J.J. Abrams is not happy about the leaked photos of the Star Wars sets. Abrams took to Twitter to vent out his disappointment with the alleged photos on the set, particularly the alleged inclusion of the "Millenium Falcon" on the newest installment to the Star Wars franchise.

"I wish people would stop leaking photos from Episode VII. And making ridiculous claims that the Millennium Falcon is in the movie," Abrams wrote in a note with the photo of the Millenium Falcon on the background he shared on his official Twitter.
