Psy 'Hangover' MV Hits 60 Million Views And Ranks In 'Top 100' In 27 Countries iTunes Charts

Korean sensation, Psy, is making another mark in the music industry with his most recent single.

The "Gangnam Style" singer released his track "Hangover" along with the hilarious, nearly too outrageous music video on his official YouTube channel on June 9. The video has hit over 60 million views in just about a week.

The music video, which has been written about by various international publications, including the Huffington Post, Billboard and TIME magazine, features YG members CL and G-Dragon as well the U.S. rapper, Snoop Dogg.

For those who have yet to watch the 5-minute clip, it's filled with many different scenes of the Korean drinking culture, showcasing convenience stores, saunas, karaoke and more.

The singer released the song on iTunes on the same day of the release of the music video, adding to the attention he's been getting with the track.

As of today, June 16, "Hangover" is ranked in the "Top 100" in iTunes Main Single Chart in 27 countries.

It is evident that "Hangover" is following in the footsteps of Psy's previous two hit singles. "Gangnam Style" recently became the first video to pass two billion hits while his follow-up track "Gentleman" also broke a record for the most views in 24 hours, currently having 694 million views on YouTube, according to CNN.

Psy is no stranger to drinking, as he openly stated during his interview with CNN News.

Regarding his creative ideas for the video, Psy stated, "When I first spoke with Snoop on the phone to discuss the collaboration idea, Snoop loved the title of the song, and I immediately suggested to him during that first conversation to shoot the music video in Korea and show us getting drunk and getting hungover in the most traditional Korean way."

During the interview, Psy made sure to keep the details of his future events, music and collaborations to himself.

"Although I cannot say at this moment who I collaborated with this past year [for an upcoming EP], but what I can tell you is that I worked with some big name artists!" stated the star.
