Henry Cavill news, update: The ‘Batman VS. Superman’ star is charming numerous passersby and residents of Detroit, Michigan. Bustle.com writer Rachel Semigran describes the people of Michigan as the “luckiest people in America.”

While the Hollywood heartthrob is on location in Detroit filming, he has been stopping to take pictures with “what appears to be every person in the state of Michigan,” Bustle.com notes. “He’s like the big manly sweater to America’s Mitten.”

Images posted on the site reveal the British hunk taking time to “stroke fans’ mega-beards, match his pecs to locally-made automobiles, and gently wrap fans around his bulging biceps (no crushing!).”

Cavill is in town to shoot the sequel where he will be reprising his role as Superman. Together with Ben Affleck, he will be co-starring with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons and Holly Hunter.

Earlier there have been news and posts of Detroit residents seeing the 31-year-old actor hanging out in some local pubs and bars in town.

There has been news lately on the much-adored celebrity possibly getting married very soon to girlfriend Gina Carano. The couple has been on again and off again since 2012 and is currently known to be together.

Prior to Carano, and a few other Hollywood women, entering Cavill’s lives, he was engaged to English equestrian Ellen Whitaker. The relationship did not last long and the engagement was called off, notes the fan website HenryCavill.org.

“In an ideal world, I’d find the woman of my dreams and be married. But isn’t that everyone’s perfect plan?” Cavill was quoted saying in one of his interviews.

The “Man of Steel” began his acting career starring as Albert Mondego in the 2002 film adaptation of the Count of Monte Christo.
