Beauty & The Beast live-action movie 2014 has been slated for Disney two years ago with veteran director Guillermo Del Toro supposedly to helm the project starring "The Perks of Being A Wallflower" star Emma Warson.

The film was supposedly to be released in 2012 but had been delayed for various reasons particularly with director Guillermo Del Toro's other commitments and it can be remembered from one of his interviews that he intended to do the film this year as he wants Watson to be on her prime before doing the film.

"It's a movie that you have to make in the next few years for Emma to be perfect for the part," he explained. "I think she is the perfect character to do that movie."

However, the supposed plan did not come to life as Del Toro reportedly drops out from the project with"Twilight" director Bill Condon to replace him in the directing responsibilities.

And with Del Toro already out of the project, news came in that Condon is eyeing his "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart for the lead role.

According to Hollywood Life, a source close to the director claims that KStew is favored to play Belle by the newly named Beauty and the Beast movie director.

"The process and the script for the movie are still in the beginning stages but as it fleshes out, Bill Condon has definitely thought of Kristen Stewart as a possible Belle."

However, according to the source there are minor issues that might get in KStew's way.

"By the time they make the film, it might be 2015 or 2016 and they think she'll be busy and they might go after somebody younger. Disney's thoughts are, the big name for the film should be devoted to the Beast so Kristen has a 50/50 chance to be Belle."

With that being said, there's also a 50/50 chance for Emma Watson to be cast as Belle again.
