"The Hobbit 3" trailer release date is still a mystery just like the "Battle of Five Armies" cast Benedict Cumberbatch's girlfriend.

According to the fansite OneRing.net, it has been in touch with a reliable source who correctly predicted that the YouTube debut for the trailer of "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" would have come out on June 11. But there's no word yet on "The Hobbit 3" trailer.

The same source also correctly tipped the website regarding the trailer of "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

"As recently as Sunday, our source hadn't heard anything about when we might finally see a trailer for The Battle of the Five Armies (BOTFA)," the website said.

"It seems that VFX work has been holding things up otherwise we may well have seen it debut in conjunction with the USA release of 'The Edge of Tomorrow,'" OneRing added.

There's also the National Association of Theater Owners guidelines which will impact on "The Hobbit 3" trailer. The provisions include restricting marketing or promotions to five months from the film's scheduled release date for the trailer and four months for posters and standees, it said.

Meanwhile, no reports yet on "Battle of Five Armies" cast Benedict Cumberbatch's girlfriend after PBS head Rebecca Eaton revealed to The New York Post last week that Briton's sexiest movie star is already taken.
