James Franco and Seth Rogen Movie "The Interview"Targeted For Nonsense Criticism By North Korean Dictator Kim Jung Un [PHOTO]

You may think that Seth Rogen and James Franco making a comedy about killing a despotic leader with absolutely no sense of humor, would be received well in North Korea by said despotic leader. Unfortunately, no. Kim Jung Un has officially condemned Seth Rogen and James Franco for their upcoming movie "The Interview."

"The Interview" is about two journalists who get a rare chance to interview the rarely seen leader, but is then asked to kill him by the CIA, hilarity ensues.

The executive director for The Centre for North Korea-US Peace, Kim Myong-choi, Japanese-based unofficial spokesman for the Pyongyang regime, has slammed the film saying the movie showed "the desperation of the US government and American society". Speaking to The Telegraph, he said: "A film about the assassination of a foreign leader mirrors what the US has done in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Ukraine. And let us not forget who killed [President John F.] Kennedy - Americans."

"In fact, President [Barack] Obama should be careful in case the US military wants to kill him as well," added the spokesman for good measure. Despite all this, the spokesman went on to add that the "Dear Leader" would probably watch the film anyway.

Forgetting for a moment that America never put troops on the ground in Syria and Ukraine and that those heads of state are still very much alive, this is just about the kind of nonsense one would expect. The spokesmen went on to say he prefers British films, like James Bond, which is not a comedy. Somehow he managed to forget that in 2002, "Die Another Day" heavily featured North Korea, and was also denounced by North Korean spokesman.

Some critics have agreed with the notion that making a film about killing the head of state of another country, especially a country not known for its forgiveness and sense of humor, is callous and a bit irresponsible.

Rogen responded jovially on twitter, saying, "Apparently Kim Jong Un plans on watching #TheInterview. I hope he likes it!!"

The film comes out in October.
