‘Prometheus 2’ Cast Guy Pearce Raring To Return For Movie’s Sequel; Director Ridley Scott Is Main Reason For His Excitement?

"Prometheus 2" cast Guy Pearce is raring to return for movie's sequel as he's excited with the chance to work with director Ridley Scott again.

"I'd love to go back and play that character again," he told IGN. "To work for Ridley again, you know, he's great -- really wonderful to work for. So yeah, I'm very curious to see what he will do next with it."

In the original film, "Prometheus 2" cast Guy Pearce played Peter Weyland who was killed at the end when he was mauled to death by the disembodied head of Michael Fassbender's android character.

However, "Prometheus 2" cast Guy Pearce noted to IGN that this is science fiction after all and anything is possible. Peter Weyland's primary goal is immortality so can he come back for the sequel and may finally be immortal?

"Based on my character's request for immortality and then getting whacked in the head with Michael Fassbender's head, uh... no. [Laughs] But I think it's possible. I just think it may not be for Peter Weyland," he said.

"I mean, who knows? When you look at science fiction and the ways in which you can cut the pie and things can develop -- technologically speaking, etcetera -- anything's possible, really, isn't it? Particularly with Ridley at the helm," said "Prometheus 2" cast Guy Pearce said.

James Garcia wrote on We Got This Covered blog that there's always room for Guy Pearce in "Prometheus 2" especially since Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace have already signified their intention to reprise their respective roles.

"The actor (Guy Pearce) would definitely be a welcome addition. Even as someone who liked 'Prometheus,' I was pretty disappointed that Weyland wasn't given more to do than just walk around slowly and then get killed. I would love to see Pearce come back and do the character justice," he said.
